WHAT TO WEAR FOR ROYAL ASCOT?

Royal Ascot is now famous not just for the horse racing, but also its very strict dress code. This has transformed it in to one of the major fashion events of the year.

So if you are lucky enough to be spending a day at the races, or just want to take some inspiration from the glamorous outfits, here is your perfect style guide for 2019.

THE ROYAL ENCLOSURE

Formal day-wear is a must in the Royal Enclosure, this means knee length or longer dresses and skirts. Tops must have straps which are one inch wide or more, trouser suits and jumpsuits are welcome (as long as they comply to the same rules), and hats (but not fascinators) should be worn. It’s a great excuse to go bold with your style, and colour clash your outfit and accessories. We love our Bambi shoes dyed to royal blue with this peach trouser suit – add a royal blue hat for the perfect winning outfit.

QUEEN ANNE ENCLOSURE AND VILLAGE ENCLOSURE

Formal dress is required in these enclosures and a hat, headpiece or fascinator should be worn at all times. Strapless dresses and tops are not permitted, this includes off the shoulder, Bardot and one-shoulder. Trouser suits must be full-length, and jumpsuits should fall below the knee.

Pastel colours work really well together, and paired with a matching coral fascinator, this look oozes both style and elegance.

THE WINDSOR ENCLOSURE

There is no official dress code for this enclosure, but smart day-wear is encouraged. It is recommended that ladies wear smart attire with a hat or fascinator.

A pretty floral day dress with colour coordinating Jennifer peep toes is the perfect combination for this enclosure.
