Wedding dress shopping will certainly be a different experience from pre COVID-19 days, but that doesn’t mean you can’t embrace it and make it just as special.

We are thrilled that bridal shops can now re-open there doors after lockdown – but what is the ‘new normal’ wedding dress shopping experience?

Here are a few things you can come to expect at your appointment.

Always book ahead

Make sure you contact the store first to book an appointment. Do this well in advance so you can get your preferred date and time.

This is also a good opportunity to discuss what designers and styles they have in store so they can get an idea of what you are looking for.

Keep your party small

Some stores may have a limit on how many people you can take to your appointment, so make sure you check before you arrive.

It is a good idea to keep numbers as small as possible and avoid bringing children. You can always arrange an online video call for anyone who cannot be there so they can still experience the day with you.

Wear a face mask

Although this is probably not your chosen fashion accessory, it is a necessity. So why not embrace it and create matching ‘bridal party’ face coverings, or treat yourself to an elegant design or material.

Enjoy your day

This is a once in a lifetime experience, so remember to relax and enjoy this special moment, even if it isn’t quite what you imagined.
